AJWA/SHIFA DATES

There are some interesting hadith relating to the Ajwa dates in particular:

Narrated by Saud; the Messenger (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, “If Somebody takes seven ‘ajwa dates in the morning, neither magic nor poison will hurt him that day.” (Sahih Bukhari)

The Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) also said, “Ajwa dates are from paradise.” (Tirmidhi)

The Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, “He will not be harmed by anything until he reaches the evening.” (Sahih Muslim)

A’isha (RA) reported Allah’s Messenger (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) as saying: “The ‘Ajwa’ dates of ‘Aliya’ contain heating effects and these are antidote in the early morning.” (Sahih Muslim)

The Prophet (Sallallaahu Álayhi Wasallam) said, “If somebody takes some ‘Ajwa dates every morning, he will not be effected by poison or magic on that day till night.” (Sahih Bukhari)

SAFAWI DATES

Safawi dates are a unique variety of dates mainly grown in Saudi Arabia in the Al-Madina region. Safawi dates are a soft, semi-dried date variety characteristically identified by their particular deep black color, length, and medium size.

They share similarities with Ajwa dates such as taste.

SUKKARI DATES

Sukkari Dates are beautiful, soft, golden dates that are larger than Deglet Nour dates, with all the softness and caramel-like flavor of Medjools!

We found these dates to be incredibly moreish! Sukkari dates are characteristically very sweet, and they are more succulent than standard dates.

MABROOM DATES

Mabroom dates are deliciously sweet and sticky, with light red-bronze skin and a lingering toffee-like taste on the palate. They have a smooth and pleasant flavor but are much firmer than other date varieties.

Some may even find them quite hard to chew.

SUGAI DATES

The Sugai dates are sweet fruits high in protein and iron. This variety of dates is easily recognized by its golden colour at the base with a slight dryness, meanwhile, the rest of the date is brown, soft, and deliciously sweet.
